For all of my photographic life, I’ve been an omnivore. It doesn’t take much to get my attention and send me off and running on a new (to me) subject matter or approach. For me, the camera is a sketchbook for recording possibilities which may or may not come to fruition in the printmaking process. Some of the series of images presented here are the result of a single, intense journey. Others are the result of long accumulations. Every passing year brings new knowledge, new tools and new materials which can be applied to new works as well as old ones. It’s not at all unusual for a series to lie dormant for years awaiting the right printmaking inspiration. All good fun.
